{"id":126,"date":"2019-05-09T13:07:39","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T10:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corporate.stop.gr\/?page_id=126"},"modified":"2026-03-24T14:18:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T11:18:32","slug":"environmental-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/corporate.stop.gr\/en\/environmental-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Environmental policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PURPOSE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this Policy is to describe the Organization\u2019s commitments towards the environment.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By developing an ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system STOP AEBE acknowledges its responsibilities and obligations towards the environment and the people and makes a commitment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For constant improvement of its environmental performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For avoidance of pollution and implementation of proper measures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For compliance with environmental legislation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For compliance with all obligation deriving from its permit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By developing an ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system that concerns:<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>PRODUCTION, TRADING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT<\/strong><br>&nbsp;the company sets all environmental aspects relevant to its activities and develops procedures and programs aiming to its constant improvement of its environmental performance.<br>The company\u2019s environmental policy focuses on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The production and trading of easy to use and safe personal protective equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Energy saving by developing a natural sources consumption monitoring system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of the produced solid waste by setting as a priority their separate collection and recycling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constant briefing of the management and personnel on environmental issues&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The present company\u2019s environmental policy is published, disclosed, implemented and supported by every employer in the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<br><em>The Management<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CERTIFICATES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2023 our new&nbsp;<strong>warehouse in Piraeus<\/strong>&nbsp;is awarded the \u201c<strong>GOLD<\/strong>\u201d certification under the&nbsp;<strong>LEED Green Building standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024 STOP obtains its first\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.stop.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Certificate-valid-until-17032027_en.pdf\">Sustainability Certificate<\/a><\/strong>, achieving a grade of \u201c<strong>B \u2013 Good.<\/strong>\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learn more about our <strong>Corporate Responsibility<\/strong> by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.stop.gr\/en\/corporate-responsibility\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PURPOSE The aim of this Policy is to describe the Organization\u2019s commitments towards the environment.
